2008年10月30日上午，由onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%D6%D0%C9%BD">中山市人民政 府主办，市onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%C2%C3%D3%CE">旅游局、民众镇人民政 府等五家单位共同承办的2008中山市岭南水乡旅游文化节onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%C3%C0%CA%B3">美食嘉年华在民众镇民众大道北广场隆重开幕。市旅游局、民众镇政 府相关领导以及中山市饮食业商会和餐饮行业共一百多名嘉宾出席了开幕仪式。
    开幕式后，许多市民迫不及待地逛起了美食摊位，现场人流如织，热闹非凡。在广场的近两百个展位上，摆满了各式各样的美食，天南地北的佳肴今朝于此一聚，用各自的特色吸引着成百上千的顾客：北京烤鸭、韩国铁板烧、云南板栗、洪七公叫化鸡、潮州onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%C5%A3%C8%E2">牛肉丸、关东鹿肉大串、onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%CB%C4%B4%A8">四川担担面、呼伦贝尔烤羊腿、台 湾点心……让人眼花缭乱。操不同地方口音的档主大声招揽着顾客，各色行人很快融合在了这样以吃为主的氛围中。有市民表示这里的很多小吃以前并未品尝过，会再介绍朋友来参加，还有的市民表示虽然今天已经尽兴而归，但在未来几天还会继续参加，要把这里的美食尝遍。
    据了解，中山大部分镇区都派出了本地的特色餐饮单位参展，如：港口源一食店、onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%CE%E5%B9%F0%C9%BD">五桂山海逸大酒店、民众彩云居、onclick="tagshow(event)" href="tag.php?name=%D0%A1%E9%AD">小榄人家酒楼等，为本次美食嘉年华增色不小。期间还将举行各种丰富多彩的活动，包括异国风情美食廊、啤酒狂欢娱乐广场、文艺大表演、闪亮全城卡拉OK大赛等节目，同时发放近十万元的现金品尝券给组团旅客和嘉宾。此次在水乡民众举办的美食嘉年华，迎合了中山人对美食的传统喜好，为市民假期休闲娱乐提供了一个好去处。（文：小新）
