   只因见过老池介绍过，这餐厅不只是吃传统风味的烧鸭及叉烧，还有个招牌酥炸豆腐做得不错的原故。使我这好吃之人因上次去没食到，今次特意前往再次觅食一探方休。因上次去品尝过这传统制作的烧鸭及秘制叉烧，与餐厅老板娘“芳姐”见过一面，今次再次光顾只是想试下酥炸豆腐，当然少不了“源一食店”的金牌烧鸭了。
   据芳姐介绍；现在的烧味是承传祖辈的传统方法制作的。源于50年代起祖辈从事烧味卤水等熟食，当时在香山县逢源街（今悦来路逢源街）经营“根记饭店”，而今“源一食店”承传祖辈创始的烧味及卤味秘方及制作方法，同时保留着传统烧味的原有风味。从原材料的选择及香辛料等制作，使金牌烧鸭都与祖辈的传统风味无异。
